Three women from Warrington named as finalists in prestigious awards

THREE women from Warrington have been named as finalists in prestigious awards.

They are representing the town across multiple categories in the 2025 Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAS) – the UK’s largest celebration of women in business.

The awards are now in their 14th year and this year there are 144 finalists from across the UK.

Esther Ghey of Peace and Mind UK is a finalist in the Inspirational Woman category. Since the tragic loss of her daughter, Esther has become a powerful advocate for mental health awareness and compassionate change. Her work has touched thousands across the UK and led to a national conversation around wellbeing in schools and society.

Michelle Laithwaite, co-founder of FuelHub, is a finalist in the Scale Up category. FuelHub is one of the UK’s fastest-growing food production businesses, delivering high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for elite athletes, corporate clients and health-conscious consumers. With innovation and efficiency at its core, FuelHub is feeding a national appetite for smarter nutrition.

Preeti Choudhary, founder of Pro-Business Consulting, is a finalist in the Best Business category. A trusted name in business support, Preeti helps SMEs navigate funding, strategy and growth with confidence. Her consultancy is known for its hands-on approach, empowering clients to scale sustainably and strategically. Preeti is no stranger to the EVAS stage, with two wins already under her belt.

Award sponsor Professor Francine Morris of Salford Business School said: “The Enterprise Vision Awards champion women entrepreneurs who are pioneers in their respective fields and are a driving force for change.

“EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion), entrepreneurship and fostering the next generation of talent shaping the world are rooted in everything we do at Salford Business School, so we jumped at the opportunity to support a likeminded organisation.”

The next stage for finalists includes an interview with an independent judging panel, a public vote and participation in the EVAS’ vibrant social media campaign.

All finalists will be invited to participate in an exclusive EVAS Reception at the House of Commons ahead of the main awards ceremony, offering the chance to connect with previous winners, business leaders and policymakers.

The awards ceremony will take place on September 26 at the iconic Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
